THE STORY

We are thrilled to introduce Unscripted, a documentary series capturing the raw essence of adventurers. It celebrates genuine individuals who relentlessly pursue their dreams in the world’s most challenging places. Through their journeys, we witness their courage, resilience, and determination. Our goal is to illuminate untold narratives, offering viewers an intimate look at those who dare to dream big. By sharing these powerful stories and showcasing the beauty of nature, we hope to inspire a global audience to pursue their aspirations.

Since 2021, Virgil Reglioni has pursued the dream of capturing extraordinary images of the Aurora Borealis in extreme environments. This vision was born during an expedition in Iceland, where he created The Guts and On Edge, images that went on to win several international photography awards.

In October 2024, director Pedro Grimaldi and the full Noart Studios production team joined Virgil on a 12-day expedition in Iceland, documenting the challenges and the creative process. Despite their efforts, unfavorable weather conditions prevented the mission from being accomplished, and the Auroras remained out of reach.

Now, in November 2025, this group of adventurers, driven by the same passion, returns to Iceland with renewed determination. The expedition will consist of exploring the glacier, finding a moulin, and rappelling into its depths to compose a unique scene where ice, Aurora, and our friend Helgi, the ice climber, converge. This time, the mission is clear: to fight once more for our dreams and finally bring this ambitious vision to life.



Now, in November 2025, this group of adventurers, driven by the same passion, returns to Iceland with renewed determination. The mission

This mission is about living our passion and documenting the story that unfolds in the pursuit of the seemingly impossible. More than the result itself, what we want to highlight is the process, the perseverance, creativity, and technical skills required to keep moving forward towards our dreams.

With most of the documentary already filmed in 2024, we now enter the final and most decisive chapter.
Filming will take place in South Iceland during the second half of November 2025, where we will open a 15-day window to wait for the right conditions and head directly into the moulin. This timing maximizes our chances of capturing the Aurora Borealis under favorable weather and atmospheric conditions.

The setting of this mission is the area surrounding the glacier tongues of Sólheimajökull, a region known for its striking geological formations and constantly changing skies. These natural features provide the ideal stage for both creative exploration and technical innovation in photography and filmmaking.
